Liliana has landed on the Star Tribune’s list of the Twin Cities’ best new restaurants of 2025, a recognition that places it among the state’s most notable recent openings.
The newspaper’s Taste team opted this year to honor a class of newcomers rather than a single restaurant, spotlighting 10 places that opened between November 2024 and October 2025.
“We are so happy and excited to be on a list with such great restaurants,” co-owner Jason Hansen said in a text message. “Our entire team of employees works incredibly hard to give the best form of hospitality we can. We hope the city of Woodbury keeps supporting us as they have been which has been incredible.”
Liliana, which opened in July at 10060 City Walk Drive, stood out for its constant menu evolution and experimentation. Run by the team behind Estelle and Mario’s in St. Paul, the 110-seat restaurant offers what Hansen has described as a modern, fine-casual approach to Italian cooking.
