Main Event, one of the more anticipated entertainment additions coming to Woodbury, will open near Topgolf on Aug. 3.
The 48,000-square-foot entertainment complex will feature state-of-the-art bowling, an arcade with more than 100 games, laser tag, virtual reality experiences, and a full-service restaurant. The venue specializes in parties for birthdays, corporate events, anniversaries and other milestones.
“We are incredibly excited to debut the Main Event experience in Minnesota,” Michael Frisby, general manager of the Woodbury Main Event, said in a news release. “Establishing our first footprint in the state here in Woodbury is a huge milestone for us. We’re building a vibrant, high-energy team that is ready to provide exceptional service and create unforgettable memories for this community.”
The news release touts the restaurant as offering an array of treats including the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich, the Overloaded Cheese Pizza, Funnel Cake Fries, and drinks such as the Cotton Candy Shirley Temple and Margarita Flight.
Main Event originally targeted late 2025 for its opening date in Woodbury. The entertainment center is right next to Topgolf’s second Minnesota complex, near the intersection of I-94 and I-494/694. Topgolf opened in late October and operates a 68,000-square-foot facility featuring year-round climate-controlled hitting bays, 140 HDTVs, a rooftop terrace, and event spaces.
Main Event is hiring front- and back-of-house positions, including servers, bartenders, hosts, line cooks, and attendants for games and bowling.
Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Inc. operates more than 60 Main Event locations in 23 states.
