All Minnesota locations of Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken & Wings have closed, according to a message posted on the restaurant’s local social media page.
“We are grateful to our guests and our community for your support. Thank you for allowing us to serve you. Inver Grove Heights, Edina, and Woodbury are all closed,” the post read.
The Woodbury location was among the newest, part of a broader push into the Twin Cities that began in 2024 and 2025.
The company cited “Ongoing increases in operating costs and a significant decline in traffic” as reasons for the abrupt closure.

Hangry Joe’s, founded in 2021, is a Nashville-style hot chicken franchise based in McLean, Virginia, known for its wide range of spice levels, including its signature “Angry Hot,” which requires a waiver to order. Over the last few years, the company expanded across the United States and internationally, with locations in Dubai and South Korea.
