WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – More traffic changes in Woodbury for the area near Valley Creek Road and Radio Drive. In addition, work begins this week on Century Avenue and continues on a city neighborhood road rehabilitation project.
UPDATE on Tuesday, June 3: The city says Hargis Parkway between Radio Drive and the M Health Sports Complex will be closed for about two weeks due to construction complications.
Century Avenue Project
Monday, June 2: Washington County is starting a pavement improvement project. Construction will begin on Century Avenue from Lake Road to Brookview Drive, just south of I-94. Century Avenue will remain open to traffic with restrictions on lane and turning movements. This Washington County pavement improvement project is not related to the plant and pipeline construction.
Treatment Plant Project Impacts
According to a city news release, Woodbury has a few major traffic changes scheduled due to construction of the new Water Treatment Plant and its pipelines.
- Tuesday (June 3): Eastbound Valley Creek Road will reopen between Tower Drive and Radio Drive. City Centre Drive north of Valley Creek Road will close with business access maintained from Radio Drive. Access to City Hall will be limited to a right turn in and right turn out from the eastbound lanes of Valley Creek Road. This change is expected to begin in the early morning hours.
- Thursday (June 5): The trail underpass at Woodbury Drive (County Road 19) near Powers Lake will be closed through late July. Trail users can cross Woodbury Drive by following the trail south to the Valley Creek Road intersection.

Roadway Rehabilitation 2025
Roads are also affected by the city’s 2025 Roadway Rehabilitation Project in the Fox Run area neighborhoods, Central Park Place and Promenade Lane. The city says the following work is expected to begin tomorrow, weather permitting.

- Driveway and trail patching
- Restoration of yards
Phase 2
- Concrete work continues
- Pavement removal tentatively scheduled for June 6
- Signal improvement at Hudson Road and Lake View Drive
- Underground work continues
- Signal arms and poles will not be available until late summer or early fall.
Phase 3 and 4
- Utility work continues
- Large stormwater device installation at Powers Lake Park
