WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – John DeVos, 59, says he was in seat 9B of the CRJ-900 that crashed in Toronto on February 17.
According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, DeVos is Barentz’s President of Animal Nutrition for North America.
Barenz has offices in Woodbury. It is a global specialty ingredients provider specializing in human nutrition, pharmaceuticals, personal care, performance materials and animal nutrition.
DeVos told the Star Tribune the aircraft landed with a bump then he could feel the plane start to slide. It then flipped over and began to skid down the runway.
He told FOX 9, “Grateful I’m alive. Grateful for the outpouring of support. I can’t believe we walked away from that.”
DeVos lives in Marshall, Minnesota.
All of the passengers and crew from Delta Flight 4819 have been released from the hospital.
Barentz is headquartered in the Netherlands.
