A series of new construction projects and road repairs are beginning across Woodbury this week, bringing several closures, detours and traffic changes for drivers.
Beginning Monday, May 18, Radio Drive will close between Bailey Road and Cobblestone Road/Ashford Road for approximately three weeks. Drivers will be detoured using Bailey Road, Woodbury Drive or Lake Road.
Also starting Monday, Tower Drive will close between Meadow Brook Drive and Radio Drive for about one week as crews complete sewer repairs. Motorists are advised to use Radio Drive and Afton Road as alternate routes.
Asphalt repairs are also planned along Donegal Drive. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane, and parking will not be permitted through May 21.
Additional closures begin Wednesday, May 20
Westbound Valley Creek Road will close between Woodbury Drive and Interlachen Parkway. Drivers will be detoured via Radio Drive, Tamarack Road and Woodbury Drive.
Colby Lake Drive will also close north of Valley Creek Road to Cortland Road through late June. Several side streets north of Valley Creek Road, including Catalina Drive, Spinaker Drive, Jewel Drive and Lochaven Drive, will experience intermittent closures at Valley Creek Road intersections as crews install pipe infrastructure.
Reopenings
Bailey Road has reopened to traffic for the time being.
The new roundabout near the M Health Fairview Green Fields on Pioneer Drive south of Bailey Road is also now open to east-west traffic.
