Afoutayi Haitian Dance, Music, and Arts, Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., July 9, Oakdale Library. This interactive performance is a presentation on Haitian cultural heritage through dance, drums, singing, stories, and games. Afoutayi Haitian Dance, Music and Arts is a performance company and nonprofit arts organization. Their mission is to promote Haitian and Afro-Caribbean heritage. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Woodbury Lions Club 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, Monday, August 11, 12 noon at Eagle Valley Golf Course. The 15th annual event honors the memory of longtime community leader Dick Stafford with proceeds supporting Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial and the Lions KidSight USA vision screening program. Event highlights include: driving and putting contests, lunch and dinner, silent auction and raffle, free range balls, golf gift bags, and awards ceremony. Music in the Trees, Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day at the Belwin Conservancy Education Site in Afton, Minnesota. Music in the Trees features live performances by musicians playing from tree stands 16 feet above the ground, creating an immersive experience in the forest. As attendees explore trails through the red pines, they’ll encounter a mix of acoustic, folk, world, experimental, and spoken word performances inspired by nature. Tickets are $10-35 per car.
