This interactive performance is a presentation on Haitian cultural heritage through dance, drums, singing, stories, and games. Afoutayi Haitian Dance, Music and Arts is a performance company and nonprofit arts organization. Their mission is to promote Haitian and Afro-Caribbean heritage. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Tiny Tot Triathlon Saturday, August 9, 9:00 a.m.,M Health Fairview Sports Center, 4125 Radio Dr, A triathlon for the tiniest triathletes! Participants will bike, run and get wet as they make their way to the finish line to receive a sticker medal presented to them by a firefighter or police officer! Little athletes will bike on their own self-pushed riding item on a path; run down a length of path; splash into the splash pad; and end with a dash to the finish line. The 15th annual event honors the memory of longtime community leader Dick Stafford with proceeds supporting Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial and the Lions KidSight USA vision screening program. Music in the Trees, Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the Belwin Conservancy Education Site in Afton, Minnesota. Music in the Trees features live performances by musicians playing from tree stands 16 feet above the ground, creating an immersive experience in the forest. As attendees explore trails through the red pines, they’ll encounter a mix of acoustic, folk, world, experimental, and spoken word performances inspired by nature. Tickets are $10-35 per car.
