Theo Franz joined Woodbury News Net as a part-time reporter in May, 2025.

A journalism graduate from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Theo covered the Gophers football and both men’s and women’s basketball teams until being named Sports Editor. He has also contributed to the Minnesota Star Tribune, reporting predominantly on high school sports.

Aside from his career aspirations, he enjoys hiking at state parks and reading the news.
