Here are the latest traffic changes due to road and infrastructure work in Woodbury:
- Monday, July 14, Valley Creek Road west of Manning Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for 3-5 days. Xcel Energy is making infrastructure repairs. Manning Avenue in the area will be reduced to a single lane. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work area.
- Also Monday, July 14, eastbound Tamarack Road will be reduced to one lane from Radio Drive to Weir Drive. Westbound is already down to one lane to replace curb and gutter for the Tamarack Road Roadway Rehabilitation Project.
- Thursday, July 17, the roadway closure and trail closures on Pioneer Drive will be extended from Bailey Ridge Drive to Bailey Road because several water mains are being installed.
- Friday, July 18, the mill and overlay project on Century Avenue, from Lake Road to Brookview Drive, will be completed and temporary signage will be removed.
- Monday, July 21, for about two weeks, Pioneer Drive from Dale Road to Lighthouse Lane will be closed for utility and roadway construction.
Also, the trails along Settlers Ridge Parkway are closed from Whitewater Drive to Balsam Way to allow for the installation of a water main. This map has the latest road and trail impacts.
Some of the traffic changes are due to the construction of the Water Treatment Plant and miles of pipelines while others stem from planned road maintenance work. These roads remain closed:
- Lake Road: closed from Magnolia Drive/Torrey Drive to Blue Ridge Drive, until the end of August.
- Detour: Radio Drive, Bailey Road, and Woodbury Drive.
- Valley Creek Road: open to traffic in both directions while one westbound traffic lane remains closed between Tower Drive and Colby Lake Drive.
- Interlachen Parkway: closed between Inverness Road and Valley Creek Road.
- Detour: To access neighborhoods to the north of Valley Creek Road, follow Colby Lake Drive north to Interlachen Parkway.
- Interlachen Parkway: closed between Valley Creek Road and Pioneer Drive
- Detour: To bypass Interlachen Parkway and Pioneer Drive closures, use Radio Drive to access Valley Creek Road or Lake Road.
- Pioneer Drive : closed between Timberwood Road and Bailey Ridge Road.
- Detour: Radio Drive, Bailey Road, and Woodbury Drive
- Valley Creek Road: fully closed between Settlers Ridge Parkway and Cottage Grove Drive and closed to thru traffic between Cottage Grove Drive and Woodcrest Drive, both directions through September.
- Cottage Grove Drive: closed to thru traffic from Eagle View Boulevard to north of Thone Road.
- Tower Drive north of Valley Creek Road: expect temporary lane restrictions in this area through late July. Area will be flagged during construction activity, and two lanes will be open in evenings.
- Hope Drive south of Bailey Road closed through late July.
- Bailey Road Lane Closure: left turn lane on westbound Bailey Road to turn south onto Hope Drive is closed.
- Dale Road: closed from Chestnut Drive to Cooper Ridge Drive, through October.
- Detour: To bypass Dale Road, use Pioneer Drive or Radio Drive to access Bailey Road.
- Century Avenue: Washington County is doing mill and overlay work between Brookview Drive and Lake Road.
- Tamarack Road (westbound) reduced to one lane from Radio Drive to Bielenberg Drive for construction of a new trail.
- Woodlane Drive open to traffic with lane restrictions between Valley Creek Road and Guider Drive for construction of a new trail.
