Art Lab: Paper Puppets, Thursday, June 26, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., R.H. Stafford Library, 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury. Use your imagination to create a moveable puppet using a variety of art materials. No registration required. Stop at the library any time during the event. This program is created for children ages 6-12, but all are welcome. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver at all times. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in this drop-in program alongside their children. This project is inspired by the Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. This event repeats Thursdays through August 7.
Summerfest 2025, June 26-28, Oakdale. This family-friendly event includes a parade, live music at the bandshell, food trucks, a 5K race at the Oakdale Nature Preserve, a medallion hunt, and fireworks.
Architect Talk: A Story of the St. Croix, Thursday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m., Washington County Heritage Center, 1862 S. Greeley, St., Stillwater, Minn. Architect Beth Diem was the project manager and photomontage artist of “A Story of the St. Croix,” an exhibit created in 2007-08 by a team of artists, scientists, writers, and musicians. The artwork combines the worlds of art, history, and ecology found on the St. Croix River. Diem will speak about the art exhibit’s themes, inspirations, and process. “A Story of the St. Croix” is on display at the Washington County Heritage Center until the end of 2025. Presented in partnership with the Stillwater Area Public Schools.

This theatrical experience, written by Rose McGee, takes audiences on a journey into the past, addressing the origins of Juneteenth and the imagined impact on the lives of individuals hearing the news of the Emancipation Proclamation and that the Civil War was over.
