WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – The operator of one of the country’s largest off-price retail chains has set an opening date for its Woodbury location. Ross Dress for Less will welcome customers July 19 at its Tamarack Village store. A store in Savage will open the same day.
“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in the Twin Cities and provide local shoppers with a wide assortment of quality, branded merchandise at incredible savings,” said Jim Conroy, Ross Stores, Inc. chief executive officer, in a news release. “Consumers are looking for value and convenience more than ever and we’re excited to continue to bring those qualities to the area.”
Opening day will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting and musical entertainment for two hours. The company plans to donate to local charities including the Boys & Girls Club of the Twin Cities and Shakopee’s Harriet Bishop Elementary School via First Book Marketplace.
The Savage and Woodbury locations are the sixth and seventh Ross Dress for Less stores in Minnesota. Each store creates 55-60 full- and part-time jobs. The Woodbury location will open daily at 9 a.m., closing at 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and at 10 p.m. on Sunday.
“When considering specific store locations, important factors we look for include favorable demographics that are in sync with our target customer, healthy densities of population as well as good visibility, high traffic, and strong co-tenancy,” a corporate spokesperson told Woodbury News Net earlier this year.
In October, the company opened a Ross Dress for Less in the Sun Ray Shopping Center in St. Paul and another one at the Birch Run Station strip mall in Maplewood.
Ross Stores, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, is headquartered in Dublin, California. Its fiscal 2024 revenue reached $21.1 billion. The company operates the Ross Dress for Less chain with 1,847 locations in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam.
