WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – Good news: One major road in Woodbury is reopening. Bad news: Another one is closing.
Radio Drive at the intersection of Valley Creek Road is expected to open back up to traffic tomorrow night after about two weeks of being closed. Then Monday, Valley Creek Road at the same spot is scheduled to shut down in both directions from Tower Drive to Colby Lake Drive.
The traffic adjustments are part of installing water pipes for the Water Treatment Plant. To get to Woodbury City Hall, drivers will need to use City Centre Drive. The construction project website can be found here.
Valley Creek Road will reopen in sections. In about three weeks, eastbound Valley Creek Road will welcome traffic again from Tower Drive to Radio Drive with City Centre Drive north of Valley Creek Road then closing.
A city news release states Eastbound Valley Creek Road from Central Park Place/Donegal Drive to Colby Lake Drive and westbound Valley Creek Road from Colby Lake Drive to Tower Drive will remain closed.
Valley Creek Road is anticipated to reopen to eastbound and westbound traffic with lane restrictions in mid to late July.
