WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – The South Washington County School Board has selected a new board member.
Pat Driscoll resigned effective February 1, 2025.
Per state law, the school board must appoint a person to fulfill Driscoll’s duties.
At the February 6, 2025 meeting board members unanimously voted to appoint Louise Hinz to fill the vacancy.
Board members agreed to follow previous procedure and appoint an experienced school board member who had served within the past four years.
Hinz served on the 833 Board from 2020-23 and did not run for re-election.
She previously taught in the District in the Math Department at Woodbury Middle School and at Royal Oaks Elementary. Hinz will serve until the next general election.
Swearing-in is scheduled for March 27, 2025 at the school board meeting.
