WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – The Woodbury JOANN store is set close as part of the company’s bankruptcy plans.
The craft and fabrics store plans to close about 500 of its 850 locations nationwide. The exact date of the closure has not been announced. The store in Woodbury has most merchandise marked 10-40 percent off with all sales final and no coupons allowed.
In a January 15th news release Interim Chief Executive Officer of JOANN Michael Prendergast said, “Since becoming a private company in April, the Board and management team have continued to execute on top and bottom-line initiatives to manage costs and drive value.”
“This was a very difficult decision to make, given the major impact we know it will have on our team members, our customers and all of the communities we serve,” the company said in a statement sent to The Associated Press.
