WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – Citizens Against Sex Trafficking (CAST) is holding an event called “Sexual Exploitation: Power Over Predators”.
The curriculum is geared toward helping adults raising middle and high school students. It will provide education, awareness and strong preventative measures.
CAST will present information on how parents and caregivers can identify predators; recognize the dangers and consequences of pornography and sexting; determine steps to be safe online; and help develop skills to end unhealthy relationships.
Parents, caregivers, mentors and coaches are encouraged to attend. Woodbury detectives and school resource officers will also be present.
The free event will be Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m in the Education Center of the Public Safety building, 2100 Radio Drive.
Registration is not required, but organizers would appreciate it to help with planning.
