(WNN) Woodbury – The Woodbury Police Department announced retired K9 Bosco passed away Thursday, January 30.
K9 Bosco served Woodbury from 2013 to 2020. He first served with Commander Tom Ehrenberg and most recently with Sergeant Natalie Bauer.

In a Facebook post, the Police Department shared one of Bosco’s notable moments was tracking a suspect nearly two miles. Even after two miles and many fence jumps, he apprehended the suspect.
The post also said, “For seven years, Bosco served the Woodbury Police and community with unmatched dedication and loyalty. His bond with both of his handlers was built on trust, courage, and devotion. This bond is deep, they are committed partners, on every call together, assuring their team and community is safe. We are holding Bosco’s partners in our thoughts.”
In retirement the German Shepherd lived with the Bauer family.
