WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – Part of Valley Creek Road reopened recently near City Hall but another section will close soon. Valley Creek Road between Settlers Ridge Parkway and Woodcrest Drive will shut down in both directions on Monday, June 30.
Meanwhile, Settlers Ridge Parkway has reopened between Valley Creek Road and Eagle View Boulevard, according to an update from the city.
The road work is due to construction of the city’s Water Treatment Plant and its pipelines. City officials say that work will contribute to intense traffic impacts for the next two years.
Mayor Anne Burt has appealed for patience and has asked people to support businesses in the wake of the road closures and detours.

Fireworks Parking and Traffic
People heading to M Health Fairview Sports Center complex in Woodbury for the annual Fourth of July Hometown Celebration can park at the sports center and at East Ridge High School. The hometown celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. and culminates with fireworks at 10 p.m. This map shows the impact from construction to traffic in that area.

Tamarack Road Project
The city says a construction project on Tamarack Road from Radio Drive to Weir Drive should start in July. The project includes removal and replacement of pavement, curb replacement, pedestrian ramp replacement, trail rehabilitation, and new trail construction. Construction work is underway on Season’s Parkway with reduced lanes in place. Collier Way, Tamarack Bay, and Tamarack Village are also part of the project. Some utility work along Tamarack has begun but work that will affect lanes on Tamarack is not expected to begin until Valley Creek Road is reopened. Project completion is expected this fall.
