WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – The city of Woodbury has announced more traffic impacts primarily due to construction of the Water Treatment Plant and its pipelines.
Beginning Monday, June 16, Tower Drive north of Valley Creek Road is scheduled to be reduced to one lane during the day. Flaggers will direct traffic during the two weeks of work. The road will have two lanes open at night.
Also, June 16, southbound Radio Drive between Bailey Road and Hargis Parkway will be reduced to one lane because of a water main repair. The repair is expected to take two weeks.
East of Radio Drive, work continues on Hargis Parkway. Traffic control will be modified occasionally to open the roadway for large events at M Health Fairview Sports Center. The closure schedule is:
- 6/13 – 6/19 Hargis Parkway will be closed from east of Radio Drive to west of the Sports Center.
- 6/16 – 6-19 Hargis Parkway will be closed from east of Radio Drive to west of the Black Fields. During this time, access to the Sports Center is from Bailey Road only.
- 6/20 – 6/22 Hargis Parkway will be open to traffic.
- 6/23 – 6/26 Hargis Parkway will be closed from east of Radio Drive to west of the Black Fields for a period of two days for paving.
When Hargis Parkway is closed drivers should follow the posted detour route via Radio Drive, Bailey Road, and Pioneer Drive. Pedestrians should follow the posted detour route through the trails in the M Health Fairview athletic fields.
One more note: Donegal Drive north of Valley Creek Road has re-opened to traffic.
