WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – Woodbury Spine and Wellness is planning to move to a new building at the CityPlace development near I-94 and Radio Drive.
The Woodbury City Council last week approved a site and building plan for the one-story, 8,000 square-foot medical office space proposed by Davis Real Estate Group, LLC. Woodbury Spine and Wellness offers nutritional coaching, a wellness program, massage therapy, and chiropractic services as well as a functional fitness center, according to its website.
The CityPlace development was approved in 2014 and includes about 600,000 square feet of commercial space comprised of medical offices, retail, financial institutions, and hotels. Two residential rental projects with 344 units also have been developed. The taxable value of the development has grown from $12.5 million to over $250 million, according to city documents.
“We’re excited to be back today,” developer Mark Davis told the city planning commission on May 5 about the proposed medical building. “The three projects we did before this have been very successful in our world and brought great medical services to the community and we’re excited to finish up what we started a number of years ago.”
The building will incorporate 86 percent Class I materials, fire-resistive construction, including brick and stone, to match the materials of other buildings in the development.
“The project is great. I like it,” John Jarrett, planning commission vice chair said. “I think it fits in very well with the rest of the architecture.”
Construction is expected to begin in the next month or so.
