WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – Daiso – the celebrated Japanese dollar store – is opening its doors June 7 at 9 a.m. in Woodbury Village next to Marshall’s and near Target.
According to an email sent to customers, on the first two days of business the first 100 shoppers who spend $30 will leave with free goody tote bags of Daiso merchandise. Doors open June 8 at 10 a.m.
Daiso is a 50-year-old, family-owned company, with over 100,000 products self-described as the “one-stop-shop for all your household needs.” The company operates over 6,000 stores across the globe, with over 150 of those within the U.S. The Woodbury store is the third Minnesota location to open this year, joining shops in Plymouth and Maplewood.
Prices are posted both in yen and dollars. Offerings change seasonally. Popular products include Japanese snacks, gadgets, plush animals, stationery, and favorite characters like Hello Kitty. The company’s Instagram account previews new offerings.
