WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – The Woodbury Expo is this weekend.
The event will be Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Woodbury High School.
Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce President Laurie Staiger says, “This event is about bringing community together to see the great businesses, nonprofit organizations, clubs and activities that Woodbury has to offer our residents and the greater east metro.”
More than 150 local businesses and organizations will have booths and representatives at the event this year – including Woodbury News Net.
The goal of this event is “connecting commerce to community.”
People that have attended the event in the past will see some familiar favorites, but also new offerings. Staiger said, “We have several vendors that return year after year, but there are always at least 30 new organizations or businesses exhibiting for the first time. We have exciting new entertainment and the EXPO continues to grow!”
Some residents describe the event as an indoor version of Woodbury Days,” a chance to see what’s happening in the city without humidity or bees!
Staiger continued to tell Woodbury News Net, “When I first came to EXPO, I was looking at vendors that offered programs to keep my kids busy. Now that they are in high school, I am looking at vendors who can update and renovate my home and living space. It all depends on what season you are in life to find vendors that can assist you. And while you are there, you get to see your neighbors, watch amazing, local entertainment and eat great food from local restaurants.”
