WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – The Public Lands Store on Hudson Road is one of just three left in the nationwide chain.
There were eight stores nationwide in November, but the Retail news website RetailDrive.com is questioning how long the Woodbury store will stay open. The other remaining stores are in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
Public Lands is owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods. Dick’s Sporting Goods corporate communications and investor relations teams did not return our messages asking about the store’s future.
Retail Drive also points out Dick’s purchased another outdoors store called Moosejaw from Walmart in 2023 but subsequently closed them all.
Public Lands describes itself as “a new destination for everything you need to get outside and be a part of a community that thrives in the outdoors.”
Public Lands stores first opened in 2021 with stores in Pittsburgh and Columbus.
