(WNN) Woodbury – In the first three weeks of the new Metro Micro service 449 rides have been provided in the Woodbury area and 461 rides have been provided in the Roseville area.
Those ridership numbers are from January 6 through January 28 tallying the 3-5 buses operating in Woodbury daily.
The service provides shared ride service to most of Woodbury as well as small parts of Oakdale and Lake Elmo scheduled through an app.
Metro Transit says the number of riders is similar to when the Metro Micro service was launched in North Minneapolis in 2021.

One driver tells Woodbury News Net she initially got only one or two riders daily, but the ridership is picking-up slowly.
The brand new buses are owned and operated by Schmitty and Sons.
