(WNN) Woodbury – National eyeglass retailer Warby Parker is coming to Woodbury. The chain plans to open a location at Woodbury Lakes on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. It will be the sixth store in the area and the first in the east metro.
A statement from the company says the first 30 visitors on opening day will receive a surprise gift. Customers who purchase two or more pairs of prescription eyewear get 15% off plus a limited-edition poster print and a tote bag while supplies last. The art of local Minnesota artist, Ashley Mary, will be featured on the tote as well as the interior of the store as well.
“Our new Woodbury Lakes location will make it more easier and accessible for our St. Paul community customers to access all of their holistic eye care needs,” the statement says.
Online reviews for current metro stores praise “the reasonable pricing” and “selection of frames” the chain provides.

Warby Parker started as an online retailer in 2010. It opened its first physical store in 2013 and now offers prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contacts at more than 280 locations.
Consumer Reports ranks Warby Parker as the second best eyeglass store after Costco Optical and before Sam’s Club Optical.
Consumer advice guru Clark Howard says Warby Parker is a great place to shop for affordable glasses. “If you’re buying regular frames and lenses, you can expect to pay between $95 and $195,” his website states. “You can choose from progressives and other options for an additional cost.”
A statement from Kimco, the real estate investment trust that operates Woodbury Lakes, welcomed Warby Parker to the shopping center. “The brand’s high-quality, stylish eyewear and comprehensive eye care services have garnered a loyal following,” Maynel Alvarez-Requejo, senior director of lifestyle marketing for Kimco, said. “This will elevate the overall customer shopping experience, making it a great addition to the center.”
