Here are the latest changes to roads and trails in Woodbury due to construction.
Dale Road
Dale Road is closed between Cheshunt Drive and Copper Ridge Drive until October. The pavement has been removed and grading operations have started. Water main and storm sewer installation begin next week.
The work is part of the Dale Road Project that aims to improve safety and traffic flow for Dale Road from Radio Drive to Copper Ridge Drive.
“The proposed roadway will be a two-lane divided roadway with paved trails on both sides and will feature a roundabout at the intersection of Dale Road and Cheshunt Drive,” the project website says. “When completed the roadway will seamlessly tie into the improvements made as part of the recently completed Pioneer-Dale roundabout and provide a cohesive urban roadway segment for all modes of transportation.”
Pioneer Drive And Hope Drive
Starting Monday, July 21, for approximately two weeks, Pioneer Drive from Dale Road to Lighthouse Lane will close for roadway construction. On July 25, Hope Drive south of Bailey Road is expected to re-open to traffic.
Trail Changes
Changes are also coming Monday, July 21, to trails around MHealth Fairview Sports Center for water main installation:
The trail along the north side of Hargis Parkway between Radio Drive and the Sports Center will close.
The trail connecting Radio Drive to the north end of the Sports Center will re-open.
The trail along the east side of Radio Drive from Hargis Parkway to the north end of the Sports Center will re-open.
All previous road and trail closures and detour routes remain in effect and can be viewed on the Water Treatment Plant project website.
