Back to School Family Resource Fair, Wednesday, July 16, 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Brookview Elementary School, 11099 Brookview Road, Woodbury. A free event for families attending Stillwater Area Schools, with a special focus on those who are new to the area or in need of extra support. Resources to help families prepare for the upcoming school year will include school enrollment assistance, parent portal tech support, after-school sports and activities, and free school supplies. Families can also sign up for free vaccinations and sports physicals. Local resources providing assistance with food and basic needs,childcare, healthcare and mental health, child behavioral concerns, and public transit will also be available. Staff who speak Spanish will be available to assist families.

Tiny Tot Triathlon Saturday, August 9, 9:00 a.m.,M Health Fairview Sports Center, 4125 Radio Dr, A triathlon for the tiniest triathletes! Participants will bike, run and get wet as they make their way to the finish line to receive a sticker medal presented to them by a firefighter or police officer! Little athletes will bike on their own self-pushed riding item on a path; run down a length of path; splash into the splash pad; and end with a dash to the finish line. Plus, before or after the race, they’ll have a chance to create a medal craft and grab a snack and water. Ages 2-6 in separate heats. $10, Registration required.

Woodbury Lions Club 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, Monday, August 11 and 12, noon, at Eagle Valley Golf Course. The 15th annual event honors the memory of longtime community leader Dick Stafford with proceeds supporting Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial and the Lions KidSight USA vision screening program. Event highlights include driving and putting contests, lunch and dinner, silent auction and raffle, free range balls, golf gift bags, and awards ceremony. Music in the Trees, Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the Belwin Conservancy Education Site in Afton, Minnesota. Music in the Trees features live performances by musicians playing from tree stands 16 feet above the ground, creating an immersive experience in the forest. As attendees explore trails through the red pines, they’ll encounter a mix of acoustic, folk, world, experimental, and spoken word performances inspired by nature. Tickets are $10-35 per car.
