WOODBURY, MN (WNN) -This year’s construction season is one for the record books in Woodbury, and the traffic impacts keep coming.
Tamarack Road will be reduced to one lane westbound from Radio Drive to Bielenberg Road beginning Monday, July 7. The lane closure is required for work to begin on a new trail along Tamarack, according to a city news release.
In addition to trail work, the city also plans to remove and replace the road’s pavement, curbs and pedestrian ramps later this summer. The work includes Seasons Parkway, Collier Way, Tamarack Bay, and an entrance into Tamarack Village.
Trail work will also cause lane restrictions beginning Monday on Woodlane Drive between Valley Creek Road and Guider Drive, although the road will remain open.
Other traffic changes beginning Monday:
Hope Drive south of Bailey Road will close through late July.
Tower Drive north of Valley Creek Road will be reduced to one lane during the day for about two weeks. A flagger will be onsite to direct traffic. Tower Drive will have two lanes open in the evenings.
On Wednesday, July 9, Dale Road from Radio Drive to Chestnut Drive will reopen to traffic and Dale Road from Chestnut Drive to Copper Ridge Drive will close until October.
The work on Hope Drive and Tower Drive are due to the construction of the Water Treatment Plant and pipelines. The other closures are for maintenance projects.
Trail closure: The trail located south of Sweetwater Path that connects Dancing Waters Parkway to Settlers Ridge Parkway is closed.
