Construction of Woodbury’s Water Treatment Plant and its pipelines continues to disrupt traffic and businesses on several major roads.
“We understand this can be frustrating,” Mayor Anne Burt said in a video posted on the city’s Facebook page. “This work is part of our effort to build the new water treatment plant as quickly and efficiently as possible, while doing our best to minimize impacts to the community.”
Burt asked people to endure a little inconvenience and to support local businesses that are affected by the construction. “They’re a vital part of our community and they need us more than ever.”
The city keeps this website updated with the latest construction map.
A city news release provided these updates:
This afternoon, Hargis Parkway reopened for the weekend due to sporting events at the M Health Fairview Sports Center. The road closes again Monday, June 23, from east of Radio Drive to west of the Black Fields entrance for a few days of paving.
By the middle of next week, the single lane closure on southbound Radio Drive between Bailey Road and Hargis Parkway should reopen.
On Wednesday, June 25, Valley Creek Road between Tower Drive and Colby Lake Drive is expected to reopen in both directions. One westbound lane will remain closed.
On Thursday, June 26, Pioneer Drive will be closed from Savannah Oaks Pass to Bailey Ridge Drive, and Lake Road will be closed from Magnolia Drive/Torrey Drive to Blue Ridge Drive.
On Friday, June 27, Settlers Ridge Parkway from Valley Creek Road to Eagle View Boulevard will reopen to traffic.
The mayor appealed to drivers, saying, “Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.”
