WOODBURY, MN (WNN) – The Woodbury Ambassador Royal Family is inviting candidates to apply for its 2025–26 leadership and scholarship program. Informational meetings will be held the first week of May for candidates wanting to learn more about the opportunity and the application process.
Designed to promote scholarship, community, service, and personal growth, the year-long program empowers youth to represent the Woodbury community at events and support local nonprofits through service. Ambassadors can be seen at ribbon cuttings, parades and festivals, and other community events.
Lynnae Boe, candidate coordinator and Miss Woodbury in 2013-14, has seen the program’s impact firsthand. She believes the program is transformational for the young people who participate and establish valuable connections with local leaders and lifelong friendships.
“The youth who participate develop leadership skills and a connection to their community that stays with them long after their reign is over,” Boe said. “The feedback is that it is a great entryway to public speaking and newfound confidence. I tell candidates at the beginning that they are going to be challenged, but in a supportive and encouraging environment.”
The Ambassadors are part of the Woodbury Days Council, which is the volunteer, non-profit organization behind the city’s annual celebration.
